Mercator Foundation: Our Common Future

Once again, Nordmann Event Consulting was successfully responsible for the event management of a symposium for the Mercator Foundation.

“Our Common Future” was a joint congress organized by the VolkswagenStiftung, Deutsche Messe, and the Stiftung Mercator in cooperation with the City of Hanover and RUHR.2010.

The congress revisited debates on key future issues that were initiated during Expo 2000 in Hanover. In Essen, it marked the conclusion of the European Capital of Culture year of RUHR.2010.

More than 600 participants and 200 speakers discussed the topic of sustainability.

The Future Congress provided a forum for internationally leading figures from research, business, politics, and culture to identify the most important global challenges, analyze them interdisciplinarily, and explore solutions in exchange with young scientists.

The foundation clearly communicated the goal of the event to Nordmann Event Consulting: Through a combination of plenary sessions, workshops, and panel discussions, the congress was intended to provide opportunities for new ideas and the exchange of experiences.
