Mercator Foundation: Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke

In bright weather and with the active participation of many German and Turkish young people, Nordmann Event Consulting managed the opening event of the Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke in Tarabya, the summer residence of the German Ambassador on the Bosporus. The Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke, together with civil society and public partners, continues to foster understanding between Germany and Turkey.
The opening event in Istanbul was also attended by the Federal Foreign Minister, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier: “The Jugendbrücke has the potential to become another flagship project in our relations with Turkey. The Federal Foreign Office has supported the Mercator Foundation from the very beginning in establishing and preparing the Deutsch-Türkische Jugendbrücke. With projects like this, and through our engagement with the Turkish-German University as well as the Tarabya Cultural Academy, we aim to strengthen cultural, and above all human, relations between our two countries.”

The enthusiasm and commitment of the young people on site clearly demonstrated how they benefit from mutual exchange and learn from one another, how prejudices are broken down, and how constructive ideas emerge.
